I’m very impressed and happy with this machine. Its got too many features to list, but here are some of the things I like: automatic thread cutter, needle up/down, memory lockstitch/cutter, extension table for quilting, knee lift, and many presser feet.

I like this machine very much. I’ve had for over a year and have not run into any problems whatsoever. Free motion quilting is a cinch and I love the decorative stitches it came with. I sold my Brother machine to get this one and it’s sooo worth it!!

The Janome 6500 is something else. It’s a machine like I haven’t had before. I used to think that most sewing machines are the same and that nothing could beat my Singer, but when my daughter got me my Janome, I just fell in love with it. It is so fast and easy to use that I can finish off work projects quite easily.
I do curtains and bedsheets as well as garments/dresses and this just does miracles. The stitches are marvelous and I love the convenience of the buttonholes. I hope that I had gotten this machine sooner, it would’ve made me more adept in sewing.

I love this sewing machine! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it is just terrific. It is a very sturdy workhorse. Much nicer than the usual dinky little sewing machines. I’ve already used it to make clothes for my kids and three quilts. It has a large assortment of decorative stitches and comes with many useful presser feet. It is simple and easy to use if you’ve had any experience with sewing machines. The manual is clear and easy to understand. The separate bobbin winding motor is very practical and saves a lot of time when you don’t have to stop and rethread the machine after winding a new bobbin. The thread cutting feature is also very practical. I truly LOVE this machine!

I love this machine.Let me repeat that, I LOVE this machine.It is a relatively powerful machine that sews faster than any other janome I have (and I have quite a few….MC 4500, MC 9000, Janome Jem, etc) and is so smooth. I used it first in a class, then in a free motion quilting class and I am sooo in love!
